Congratulations to Senator Obama in securing the Democratic nomination; and congratulations to America for coming a long way. The fact that their are people who grew up during segragation that are now seeing the first African American nominated as the Democratic nominee is a remarkable accomplishment for this country that shouldn’t be overlooked due to the politics of the moment.
