Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard gives his view on Senator McCain’s decision to return to Washington in his article A Presidential McCain
This year, for the first time in U.S. history, both major party nominees for president are sitting senators. The winner may be the one who can convince some portion of the electorate that he’s less “senatorial,” and more “presidential,” than the other.
That’s why McCain’s action Wednesday–announcing he would come back to Washington to try to broker a deal to save our financial system–could prove so important. The rescue package that was so poorly crafted and defended by the Bush administration seemed to be sliding toward defeat. The presidential candidates were on the sidelines, carping and opining and commenting. But one of them, John McCain, intervened suddenly and boldly, taking a risk in order to change the situation, and to rearrange the landscape.
More like a chicken McCain.

All McCain did was showboat. Him announcing that he had suspend his campaign was all for nothing.
I mean if he really did want to rush back and so-called help why didn’t he just go ahead and do that…..why make a announcement of suspending the campaign.
Can someone say “Trying to get gain some memento” because I do believe Obama is beating him in the polls.
Also I hear the came to a fundamental agreement even before McCain went to Washington.
The Congressional leaders did it without McCain and Obama being there.
Off Topic-
Did anyone watch Letterman? Why cancel with Letterman? He told Letterman that he had to rush to Washington and had to cancel on him.
But I see he had time to go be interview by Katie Couric at the same time he was suppose to be on the Letterman show…..also Letterman and Katie Couric both film in the same building.
HAHAHHA someone was caught in a lie.

No one cares except Dave, j.
It behooves both of them to be in DC. One of them will inherit the messy details that come along with the bailout.

If no one cares why is it on the news?
Also I am glad to see that John McCain didn’t stop his campaign because he still has ads running and Sarah Palin is still doing her so-called VP part.
Oh wait a minute he didn’t really mean it.
John McCain is such a MAVERICK. HAHAHAHAH
Maverick means joker, right?
