Graham, Fiorina or Ayers, Rezco

The Obama campaign is crying foul because the McCain campaign has brought up Senator Obama’s connection with William Ayers.  This is an weak argument considering they ran ads featuring McCain’s connection with Phil Graham and Carly Fiorina. Apparently it is okay to ‘play the association game’ if your associates are reputable, highly respected, law abiding citizens; but it’s unfair if your associates are an unrepentant terrorist, and a convicted felon.

Senator Graham is well respected former Senator with a Ph.D. in economics who made an unfortunate comment about this being “a nation of whiners.”

William Ayers was a member of the Weather Underground which was responsible for the bombing of the Capital building.  Ayers made an unfortunate comment on 9/11/01 that “we didn’t do enough” when talking about bombing the Capital and other locations like police headquarters.

Carly Fiorina was the VP at AT&T and then became CEO of HP. The HP board of directors then asked her to step down.

Tony Rezko is a real estate developer and convicted felon. He was convicted on charges of fraud and bribery in 2008.

Graham and Fiorina have advised the McCain campaign.

William Ayers hosted a fundraising event for Obama at his house, and Obama and Ayers served as co-chairs on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. As National Review states, “The partnership between Ayers and Obama is about much more than the number of occasions on which the two were recorded together in the same room. As CAC board chair, Obama was essentially authorizing the funding of Ayers’s own educational projects, and the projects of Ayers’s radical allies.”

Tony Rezko’s wife bought the adjoining lot to the Obama’s on the same day that the Obama’s bought their property only to later sell that property to Obama’s later on.  Rezko was also a major contributor and fundraiser to Obama’s political campaigns.

Here are a few more of the shady characters that Senator Obama is connected to in Chicago…
