One reason people have doubts in the poll numbers is question of whether workers are being surveyed. As people who work hard are often not available for phone surveys that track the latest voting trends, and those are also often the people who favor McCain heavily. It’s an interesting wrinkle that Joe the Plumber revealed. Regardless of the income level American workers don’t want to be classiified as victims. The handout/spread the welath system that Senator Obama champions contradicts the values of fairness and hard work. American workers are looking for opportunity not pity and a handout. Senator Obama’s plans for wealth redistribution would stiffle opportunity by raising taxes consequently slowing economic growth. Furthermore it creates a victim class. Give-aways for being in a lower income bracket, encourages people to stay in a lower income bracket. This isn’t assistance for people in need, this is dubbing a huge group of people as victims. This deincentivises hard work, and changes a culture of work and entrpeneurship to a culture of victimhood and big government give-aways. Senator McCain is planning economic growth, low taxes, small business growth and assistance for those who are facing forclosure. Senator Obama is planning to spread the wealth, create a vicitim class, and hinder economic growth with big government tax and spend policies.
