Nationwide Tea Parties Scheduled for April 15

There have been a series of tax and spend protest Tea Parties taking place around the country.  On Tax Day, April 15, a whole series of these protests are being put on nationwide.  Several local news stations have reported that these protests are not simply gatherings for the ‘far-right,’ as has been portrayed by some, but instead they have significant support from Independents and Democrats too.  The Tea Parties are showing the growing concern with massive government spending that most feel can only lead to massive tax increases and inflation.  To join one of these peaceful Tea Party Protests vistit Tax Day Tea Party for a nationwide listing.  Below is their video promoting participation in these Tea Parties.

  2. I believe that if we do not police our congress they will not police themselves. And as a voter, we should have more access to our legislators than lobbyist . As long as we have a system that rewards “political bribery”. The voice of the registered voter will not be heard.

I wonder if we can have congress work for “us” the registered voter” if it was a National balllot amendment. It is my understanding if you get enough signatures of registered voters, an amendment can be put on the ballot. (That is the only way to bypass Congresses’ intervention)

I have a list of 10 things I think we the “Registered voter” should control:
    1. Raises for congress would be approved by tax payers on National ballots and not able to put on the ballot if we have a deficit.
    2. The problems and programs that are set on the agenda must be weighted and voted on by the American registered voter. Like Health insurance and not who took steroids in the MBL.
    3. Lobbyist and Lobbying in general would be illegal. (It only gives a voice to well connected and highly paid- agendas) OR to be a lobbyist you have to represent a certain percentage of registered voters to have a voice.)
    4. The legislative branch would have the same insurance, medical and retirement plan as our enlisted military personnel. (Retroactive implementation of course.)
    5. If all legislators do not have all their major or minor payments owed to the American taxpayer for any of their business in Congress paid within a 30 day window they will have their wages garnished.
    7. If legislator is in session and the 535 members are not there then their pay is pro rated deducted based on the number of missed votes- that their voting constituents put them in office for.
    8. Congress will have to be paid out of and be bound by the same social security system that us as tax payers are bound to.
    9. Perks as trips to other countries and bringing family along will NOT be permitted if the bill is paid by the American tax payer and No lobbyist would be allowed to pay for any of these type of trips.
    10. If prior congressional members are put on the payroll of outside companies they should not be able to receive their governmental pensions as it is a conflict of interest.

IF I AM NOT ALONE IN MY VIEWS I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR “THE VOTING PUBLICS” VIEW- IF I AM ALONE IN MY 10 ISSUES THEN I WILL KNOW IT BY YOUR SILENCE.

REMEMBER “WE THE PEOPLE” SHOULD HAVE REAL AND CONCRETE MEANING!

NOW THIS WOULD BE REAL CHANGE.
