• Welcome Purple People

To me Purple People are those of us who are neither Republican Red nor Democrat Blue; we find ourselves in between. The internet often represents those on the far left or the far right; this site is for those of us in the middle.

Since there are a variety of non-conformists that consider themselves Independents, here's a clarification. The point of view of this blog is basically Realist/Libertarian light...

-Pro Small Government, bureaucracies tend to be wasteful and inefficient.

-Government should not be the morality police.

-Less waste, lower taxes. Taxes are okay if spent wisely. Roads and schools need funding. Be smart with my money and I won't complain.

-Government shouldn't babysit adults. Help kids and assist people who have serious problems, but stop trying to protect everyone from themselves.

-Foreign policy should be conducted by people with brains and experience. Think, don't be reckless and don't be politically motivated. Remember that the U.S. is not the only country in the world.

-Tone down the rhetoric and remember your manners. Play nicely and don't belittle people who disagree with you.

  1. I like how you use Fox News as your source even though in another one of your posts you have them as being bias media. HAHAHAHA that was a good joke.

But anyways what they don’t tell you in that so-called news report is that $120,349 comes the employees at Fannie mae and Freddie mac, $6,000 comes from PACS.

So it’s not like Obama was in the pockets of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac how you or other Conservative bloggers and news sources put it as.

  2. Obama is not alone. Check the link to this video in my blog. The Dems are absolutely shameless…

  3. Ricky Davis was collecting a paycheck from Fanny and Freddy while working as Campaign Manager for John McCain.

Republicans are the most corrupt set of politicans on earth. That’s the reason they hate government regulations.

They should be ruling some third world country not the USA.

  4. RE: Luckdress: “Republicans are the most corrupt politicians on earth.”

Now there’s an intelligent, well-founded statement.

As to the reason they’re “ruling” the USA?

That’s because the Democrats, liberals and leftists have proved for decades they care not for America or its citizens, nor do they possess the testicularity to protect it.

This is a much better video.

It’s time to fight back and take our country back.

  6. …it goes way beyond fox or cnn…the point is to get facts in this mess…and it isn’t the $120 something thousand…the issue is corruption in acorn fannie and freddie …whoever supported these groups and strong armed zero down loans whether republican or democrat is at fault and guilty…

…the very same thing happens in third world countries…good intentions seem to start the ball rolling…they secure big money and it ends up in useless projects that do not help the ordinary people…the ones that are suppose to be securing money for the average person manage to “take good care of themselves” while the programs do not even come close to producing the benefits they claim to want to produce for the population at large…and then of course there are local government rep who are corrupt to the core and literally get their hands on large parts of the money and put it into personal accounts abroad…it is not as easy to read in a country like the States…but the principles are the same…

…which party the person belongs to is not the issue nor is what news organization delivers verifiable information…the corruption is the issue and what to do now for the economy is the issue

  7. McCain surprised me during the debate. He actually nailed Obama on this.

  8. What’s the point of voting either for Obama or McCain? There’s not that much difference between them. They both supported the bailout.

Why not vote for a real conservative, the Libertarian Party’s candidate for president, Bob Barr. He has the support of Rep. Ron Paul and others who voted against the bailout.

    Here’s his website: http://www.bobbarr2008.com/
